Just realized this is the first blog post since Baltimore. Let’s recap that adventure…
a) Drive like a bat out of hell from Peoria to Wright-Patterson AFB in OH to get on a plane going to Andrews AFB
b) Arrive earlier than expected in MD and interrupt my ride’s partying
c) HAVE A BLAST AT EMS TODAY
d) Get VERY short notice about a flight going at least to Scott AFB in IL so I can get home sooner.
e) Spend TWO NIGHTS at Andrews AFB passenger terminal
f) Drive like a bat out of hell from Wright-Patterson AFB to in between Creve Coeur and Marquette Heights, IL when I FINALLY run out of gas in my truck
g) Start new route
Turns out that my return trip was doomed. After several hours and 9 gallons of gas, I find out that my fuel pump burned out in my truck. Come home to blog about it and not only did the cooling fan on my CPU, but my power supply bit the dust as well.
Now for the silver lining in this turd cloud. An unexpected check got me a new fuel pump, new power supply, and various things that make life easier for my girlfriend and myself. Yes, I have one now.
Wasn’t able to make FDIC because my boss decided that it was more important for me to drive that afternoon…my time off for expo is in NOW
